Since having a baby is not easy at all, many teen moms struggle with choosing the options of having an abortion or having an adoption.  If I was a teen mom I would pick neither of these two. I think if you’re responsible enough to have sex then you’re responsible enough to have a baby. Yes having a baby is a very expensive thing to do, but why kill a baby in your body that did nothing to you? You’re the one that created it and I think it should be alive, and not die because of a stupid mistake the parents made.  But to other people they think they should kill their baby, because they are not ready yet or don’t want it to ruin her body. Being pregnant at such a young age you are risking a lot. In other words, either way the mom chooses, is going to be very expensive to her and there’s no other way around it. If a teen mom had the choice between abortion and adoption and excluded keeping the baby they should choose adoption because they are rather saving an innocent life instead of killing it. There are many similarities and differences to adoption and abortion. Some similarities are you can live independently, you will not have to parent prematurely, you can pursue earlier goals, if you’re a teenager you can resume your youthful lifestyle. Even though these are positive things there is still a very large negative feeling behind both of these options. Some differences between abortion and adoption are in adoption your pregnancy ends in giving birth and in abortion your pregnancy ends with death. Also in adoption you will remember giving birth and in abortion you will remember taking a life. Both of these choices are very painful and I think teen moms should really think hard before making any decisions. Some teen moms just jump right into the decision without giving any thought. Being pregnant and going through this process will most likely leave a huge hole in their heart if they choose abortion or adoption. I think teen moms should choose very wisely.

Teen pregnancy can also provide many disadvantages and advantages to the teen mom. Even though having a kid this young is not right it can also provide many advantages to the parents. It will teach them lessons that they have to grow up faster than usual. Most teen parents realize they have to grow up because not only are they having a baby but they have many rules that come along with having a kid. Having a baby might seem fun at first but taking care of it while handling school, making money and providing a good life for the baby will be tough. It will be really tough and sometimes frustrating because you can’t go out with your friends at night because you should be saving money for your child and being there for it as much as possible. Since having a kid when you’re so young and still developing as yourself, your child might come out with problems. This is also difficult for a teen to handle. Some teen parents who just had a kid still go out with their friends a lot when I think they should be home with their babies. If you don’t raise your kid up well, chances is it will turn out like you. Sometimes having a kid puts a toll on your school work. Balancing your school work in between working and being home for your kid has to be very frustrating at times. To me I think I’d have a really difficult time since I think school is very tough as it is. For most teens some can’t even participate in trips with their friends because they have a child. Also, other teen moms can’t afford their child because they aren’t even working. I think to solve this problem teens should be very careful on what happens in their life and make sure their always being aware. Some teens don’t really realize who their impacting while being pregnant. Not only are they adding extra stress to their lives, but also to their families. Most teens are torn between a decision but hopefully end up without regretting their decision.

Final Project

Teen pregnancy has been growing over the past few years when researchers said it was actually declining. It is estimated that there are about one million teen pregnancies in the United States alone. According to research the United States has the highest rates of births and teenage pregnancy in the western industrialized world. Rates are so high up its so crazy. Most teens end up pregnant for having sex at such a young age and then not being careful on top of that. Teen Pregnancy can be very emotionally and physically to the teen. When being pregnant you’re not only caring for yourself but you’re also caring for the baby. Being pregnant not only takes a toll on her, but also on the baby’s father and both of their families. This process also comes along with a lot of stress, crying, disappointment, money problems. Having a baby at such a young age is also very unhealthy to your body. This is very unhealthy because your body is starting to mature but then a baby is growing inside which is trying to form too. Then again, teen pregnancy can mature a person because they have a kid to care for, and even though they made a mistake they are now learning from it. Many teens that get pregnant either get homeschooled or drop out. Some teens even go back to school after a month which is kind of ridiculous. I think if they could have a kid they should spend time at home with it for at least six months and then get back into their routine. When young teen moms have their babies, they don’t get to take part in a lot of activities because there caring for their babies. Therefore Teen pregnancy comes with a lot of cons, even though it has some pros too.  When thinking about Teen pregnancy most people get very angry and hatred to those kids who choose to not be careful and add extra stress to other people lives. Some teens don’t really notice what is going on and how big of a choice it is to raise a kid while they are in high school.

Every Monday i always look forward to doing one thing which is watching the Bachelor. I don’t really know why I love it so much because it kind of is ridiculous but I like watching all the drama that takes place. Yeah that does sound stupid but it’s so amusing to watch. This season of the Bachelor is Brad Womack. Womack did it about three years ago and didn’t pick either of his two final ladies and left them standing heartless, in pain by wasting four of their months. All of America hated him for doing that because these ladies come on the show and are most likely forced to lose their job and some even leave behind there kid. Leaving behind your kid to go find love is kind of overrated and sad. Anyways, the season started off well for Womack with thirty gorgeous ladies to join him on his journey to finding love. Unfortunately later that night Brad Womack had to eliminate some because not all of them will find love with him and same goes his way. A lot of the ladies when stepping out of the limo were very shocked it was Womack and didn’t want to get hurt like he did to the other ladies. Some of them had him promise he won’t hurt them, and to insure he’s changed and is in it for love. That night Brad talked to a bunch of them and new he felt some connections with the ladies. One lady that stood out to Brad was Ashley S. He said she was so beautiful, sweet and such a loving girl he just had to give the rose to her. I can’t wait for march because I cannot wait to see who Womack chooses. This season has just begun and so has the excitement.

The day of the super bowl is pretty laid back just like any other Sunday. Usually everyone gets pumped up to see the two teams fight for the championship. To me this is so cool because both of the teams worked so hard to get there and it definitely pays off in the end to be playing in the world championship. During that Sunday we usually have other family members and some friends come over to watch it or we all go to my uncle’s house in his new built garage and watch it. Whatever we end up doing is always a fun time! Another good thing about the super bowl is making food for everyone and then everyone enjoying snacks while rooting on your favorite team. In between the game on the commercials they always try to make them funny to make people laugh. Some of them are hilarious but others they just are not funny at all. Another thing I love about the super bowl is the half time show. When a certain group of band artists come on stage and get the crowd rockin to their jams and off their feet singing. The super bowl is just a fun sporting event to watch if you love football. Some people who don’t even watch one football game watch the super bowl because they like to watch it. That person was my mom one year. She never watched a bills game or went to one and watched the whole super bowl game and said it was pretty intense/amusing. The super bowl this year is being held at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Texas.  Tickets to this game must be overly expensive but in the end it’s the best game of the year! It’s going to be pretty intense and I can’t wait to watch it either!

Social networking most definitely has impacted my life and I’m pretty sure many others too. Every day I usually go on Facebook. I don’t really know why it’s just interesting to see what people do and it’s also funny looking at people.  Facebook also keeps you connected with the world because most people constantly tell everything there doing every single second of the day. Yes that does get very annoying and I had to delete some people who constantly do that. Some people go on Facebook like it’s their job and it’s kind of crazy how everyone relies on their internet to get in their social life. I remember it all started with MySpace. The first time I got a Facebook I was with Amanda and Jillian and they were like oh my gosh you have to get a MySpace. So, later that night they decided to make me one, so I was officially in the MySpace world. My parents were not very happy with it because they don’t think I should be on the internet like that and yet being so young. To tell you the truth I was always on MySpace for some reason. I think I thought it was so cool at the time and all my friends had one so I had to have one too. Then after the big MySpace deal along came Facebook. Facebook was so confusing at first; I remember the first time I got one I was so lost. Then after getting help from friends and learning things on my own I got the hang of it. It really is stupid but kind of fun at the same time. It’s an easier way to connect with your friends by i.ming instead of texting long paragraphs. Overall, Facebook is already a big part of most young teenager’s lives and it’s only going to grow bigger and bigger.

Greta

A few days ago my family and I had to put down our dog Greta. Greta was our only dog and we had her for about fourteen or fifth teen years. She was probably one of the best dogs out there even if she used to run away from us when she was a young puppy. I practically grew up with Greta because when we got her from the dog place I was about two, my sister was about four and my brother was five.  We all loved her very much even though when she hit her old ages she got very deaf and blind. Sometimes Greta didn’t even want to go outside to go to the bathroom because she must have forgot where she was at the time. When Greta was a little dog we would let her run outside but until we found out she doesn’t come back when she would run loose she was always tied up or on a leash. In order to get Greta back on her leash we would have to chase her with the four wheeler so then she would run in the house because she was terrified. It sounds bad but that was the only way she would come back to us. Don’t get me wrong she was also very sweet even though she wanted to run away all the time. Greta loved my grandparents. For some reason every time they would come over she would know who they were and get so excited!! Since my grandparents found out they were her favorite my grandma would bring over treats for her. I remember back in the day I would teach Greta to sit down and lay down and if she did it I would give her a treat. If I could I wish I could bring her back and make my dad happy again.

2011!

This year I have a feeling a lot of things are in store for me. Since this year is when I’m graduating a lot of things are going to change. I will no longer be in high school and I will be on my own learning new things every day. I am very excited to graduate and see what my future will be like.  Even though life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself I know I will be able to do anything I put my heart into. Basically if anyone puts there heart into something they will be able to achieve it. Another thing that’s exciting is I will be traveling to a new school and meeting lots of new people. I love meeting new people and making new friends. Even though I won’t be able to see some of my friends at high school on a daily basis I will still be able to keep in touch with them. Everyone usually says once you’re in high school you want to leave, but once you leave you want to go right back.  To me I’m not sure if I will feel the same way because I really can’t wait to experience life on my own. I always dreamed of being on my own and to be graduating at the end of this year is crazy to think about. Time moves on so fast so I’m sure we will be graduating right before we even think about it. In fact, there are only six more months until we graduate and then soon we will all be experiencing life on our own. Also when I graduate I plan to play on the soccer team for college which means practicing a lot and working on my shooting. I can’t wait to accomplish my goals that I have planned for 2011!

2010

Thinking back to last year many positive and negative things took place. Some things that happened that were positive was my sister graduated and is now attending ecc.  She also played on the ecc girls’ soccer team, which she had a blast doing and made so many new friends. I had my Tim Horton’s job for that whole entire year which is pretty amazing to me. I’ve made a lot of new friends and found out some true ones. I got my license which is probably one of the best accomplishments in life to a lot of people. Having a license is pretty sweet because you don’t need your mom or dad to drive you around, anymore. On top of getting my license I got a car which I paid for all by myself. I’m also very proud of that because paying for a lot of things yourself is very expensive. During the February break I had the chance to go to Disney world with my family. We had a blast and we cannot wait to go back! At Disney world everyone was happy and enjoying being on vacation. It was probably one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced.  In fact there have been many positive things that happened to me in 2010. Some negative things that took place in 2010 were my tough classes last year. That whole entire year I had hard classes and I felt like I was going to die. Another negative thing that happened was my job at Darien Lake. Every day I went to Darien Lake I would always get in trouble, for some odd reason. I would just walk in and the lady would start yelling at me. So that job didn’t turn out to well. Another thing that was negative was this winter not knowing how to drive in the snow. It was a good experience to learn from! 2010 was a great year and I can’t wait to see what 2011 has in store for us.

Walt Disney World

During last winter in February my family and I went to Walt Disney world. We never went to Disney before so this would be the first time we have ever gone. Also it in order to get there we flew, and we also never flew before. Well our parents did but my brother and sister, and I have not. Since then i cannot wait to go back to Disney! When we were about to depart buffalo all i was trying to do was imagine how cool Disney would be and i had no idea what to aspect. At first i thought Disney was just for little kids but really it’s for every age! When we arrived at Orlando everyone just looked so happy and that’s maybe because there was no snow and it’s just a happy place to go too. At Disney there are four parks you can attend too which are Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom. Out of all of these my favorite would have to be the Magic kingdom. At magic kingdom you see Main Street USA which consists of the big castle at the end of street. Sometimes at Disney we would have to pinch ourselves to see if we are really at Disney world. At Magic Kingdom you get to meet and greet the fairies, Dream along with mickey, and best of all celebrate a Dream come true parade. At magic kingdom you can also participate in other events, and fun rides! At the other three parks you can participate in just as much! With all the fun rides, hanging out with Disney characters, Laughing and smiling with your family members, and overall just having a blast! If I could go on any vacation right now, I would definitely head right back to Walt Disney and start that fun all over again!

Lauraaaaa!

Friendship isn't about whom you have known the longest... It's about who came, and never left your side... – unknown. This quote describes a lot of things about my best friend Laura. Laura and me are definitely partners in crime and get in trouble for a lot of things. For instance, when we went to Florida this past summer we came back with corn rolls in our hair. Right when we got to the security check they were starring us down and we knew right away they had a problem with us. For some reason they probably thought we would be two great people to do their “daily random search” on two random people. They maybe liked this idea but we didn’t. When they told us to step aside and go in a little room to get searched head to toe did not sound too great! The lady had this beeper and ran it up and down our bodies. It didn’t beep at all for both of us so she finally let us out, and at that point we thought we were safe just until I got called over and every single thing of mine was getting searched. This man thought it was funny to search every single thing of mine in my carry-on bag. I kind of felt like a little kid because all I wanted was my stuff instead of him searching everything in public. But anyways we made it past that and flew home safe to buffalo. Another thing me and Laura did was recently, we went to a restaurant and had a little bit too much fun. Even though we were having fun I’m sure our waitress was not. So it’s a good thing we didn’t spend too much time there and left after we completed our meals. Overall, Laura and I always have so much fun no matter what we are doing.

Christmas

To me the best time of the year is definitely Christmas! Christmas is the best time because everyone around you is usually happy and passing around the holiday cheer. Every year around Christmas i usually see a lot of my family which i love because i never really see any of them. Since me, my sister, jaimie, and Jessica all got jobs we barely ever see each other anymore. Even though we all have cars and licenses we still don’t see each other. The sad part about this is when we were little we always did everything together. To get my cousins to sleep over we would make Jessica and Jaimie fall asleep on the top bunk of our bunk bed so their parents couldn’t reach them in order to take them home. The outcome usually was their dad coming in and picking them up and further more taking them to their car. When that would happen we were very miserable and then always bothered our parents, asking why they could never sleep over. It was very disappointing because we couldn’t play dolls all night. So Christmas every year is so much fun because we get to spend quality time with each other. Not do I only see my wonderful cousins but I also see my uncle and grandma too. Even though they live right next door it’s still very hard to go over there because were always working or I’m at school. During Christmas Eve we all go over to my grandma’s house and open up our presents from her. When we were little she would get us all expensive Santa babies and we absolutely loved them so much! Every Christmas Eve we couldn’t wait to open them. This Christmas eve we are still very excited to see what our lovely grandma has in store for us J

This poem caught my eye because I thought it was very interesting. Especially since I’m a big dreamer I thought this one fit me well. I believe if you can dream it, you can do it. This poem also makes me think of somewhere warm and cozy, just like a day in paradise. When I think about this poem it makes me think of my family and me when we went to Florida. The sun is beating down, warm hearts everywhere, and little kids dancing around playing in the sand, overall a very beautiful day. What I like about this poem is the way Langston Hughes worded it and how much it makes me want to be in a warm place with the sun shining down. Another thing I like about this poem is how Langston labels it and basically the whole poem I like. To me dreaming is something everyone does, and we also make a ton of wishes we all wish would come true. When he was writing this maybe he was somewhere nice or even somewhere cold dreaming of being in a warm place dancing. This poem also describes a whole entire day with the sun shining at first then the sun going down. Also to me this poem makes me think of being happy and all the good stuff that comes along with being happy. In conclusion this poem was my favorite.

beauty

What is beauty? According to dictionary.com there are a lot of different things it means. One meaning that most people think beauty is would be a beautiful person. There are many different views on this topic and mine is probably different then everyone else’s.  Beauty to me is having that magical glow in and out. All because she has a pretty face doesn’t mean she has beauty. Beauty is also having a great personality to go along with your beautiful qualities. Sometimes girls who think there extremely gorgeous have an attitude that’s so rude and intimating to their peers which they should really be extremely nice to everyone even if they are really pretty. Also a lot of people think skinny girls are all about being the only girls that are gorgeous. That’s not true, but if one person thinks that usually about a hundred more people will think that too. According to ezinearticles.com they agree with what I’m trying to say. They wrote the inner attributes of a person must be of high quality for the person to be considered truly beautiful. The person's ability to warm another’s heart, place a smile on someone's face definitely shows the characteristics of one who has inner beauty. The criteria therefore to judge a person's inner beauty is his or her level of sensitivity, compassion, tenderness, intelligence and creativity. These qualities of inner beauty are indeed powerful for they can exceed the person's outer features. I totally agree with this site. In order for someone to be beautiful they have to have a warm heart to go along with all these beautiful traits because when someone doesn’t it just doesn’t make them look good. Beauty is just all around having everything that goes along with it like a nice attitude, friendly, outgoing.

What have you learned about yourself as a writer since you've been in this course? Describe your writing process. What do you like to write about? What do you not like to write about? What impact, if any has this class had on your writing? Since being in online publishing I’m sure I have grown as a writer. In fact, every week we do three blogs a week and on top of that two articles. As a matter of fact, I know I have progressed in my writing. My writing progress is getting better because after I write something my editor helps make my writing sound better and from writing so much, you can tell when you improve. In this course some things I love to write about are my life, my family, friends, dancing with the stars, the bachelor, basically things going on in life as it is right now. Some other things I love to write about are looking at quotes and sayings and then telling how they relate to your life. Some things I do not like to write about are other people in this class or looking at a picture and making up a story that is going on in it. I do not like to do either because I’d rather write about something I’m confident in and that it makes sense. Yes, this class probably has an impact on everyone’s writing because the only thing we do is write. Basically if your writing hasn’t improved you’re kind of crazy or maybe you are just already a good writer. Every day I look forward going to this class because it’s relaxing and you get to listen to music while you’re doing your work. To me if I could, I would love to take this class throughout the whole year.

My neighbor

A few years ago, my neighbor came over to me and said “What is really going on” and I was so shocked I didn’t even know what to say back. My neighbor who came up to me was an old lady who was about eighty years old. She never confronted me before like this, so I had no idea what was going on or running through her head. Last I knew she loved me and wanted me to be her neighbor for the rest of her life on earth. But after I heard that I looked at her and said “what do you mean?” she replied by saying “I can hear you screaming at people and going insane to your children”. In fact she just kept going on and on and I never thought she was going to stop talking. I never yell or anything so I was very shocked and thought she needed some new medication from the doctor. Right then and there I asked her if she needed anything or to go see a doctor. The only thing she did was fall over and start screaming. I called the ambulance and they came and got her immediately. She then stayed in the hospital for about two weeks. In fact she had a heart problem and needed new medication for her illness that was getting to her head. The hospital and her family couldn’t thank me enough for what I did. That day I saved my eighty year old neighbors life and couldn’t be happier.

Favorite childhood game

When I was little I played and made up so many games. Since I was lucky enough to have a stay at home mom, me, my brother and sister got to play with other kids that my mom got to baby sit. Throughout these long, fun, days, we made up so many games and had such a good, fun childhood. One game in particular I use to love to play was kickball. At family parties all of us would get together and play kickball. During the game of kickball we would have two teams with about eight people on each team, even our parents would join in and all of us would have such a blast! If I could go back in time I would love to replay all the fun moments in my childhood.  But most of all play kickball with my cousins, and just about everyone. Sometimes when we lost we would want to replay the game because we didn’t like losing. Whoever the losing team was, always wanted a rematch because they couldn’t accept the fact that they lost. Whenever my whole family came over, I always got excited about playing kickball later and playing it with the whole family. After kickball games we would also go swimming in our pool or go in the house and have dinner, something to drink. Sometimes my cousins and I would go play dolls and pretend we were moms to our dolls. I had a very fun childhood and would go back in time if we had the choice too!

Favorite tv show

During my childhood I had a lot of favorite television shows. My favorite TV show would have to be full house.  Every day after school I would grab a bowl of cereal and go sit on the couch and watch full house. To me that had to be the best part of my day! For some reason I always had to watch full house, and I’m pretty sure I had to see all the episodes, too. My favorite movie star in this show would have to be little Michelle. Michelle was played by both Mary- Kate and Ashley Olsen. Michelle was always the cutest thing ever and was practically the biggest part of the show because everyone loved Michelle. Especially with her “You go dude” she brought everyone into smiles and laughs. Not only did Michelle play a big part but so did her sisters. DJ who was played by Candace Cameron the oldest of all the children had very good grades and was a very smart/ good girl. The middle aged child Stephanie who was played by Jodie Sweetin makes for a funny character that always makes everyone laugh and stay on their toes. Throughout the shows something would always happen, like an incident and at the end everyone will be okay and there will always be some sort of good ending. Full house never failed me to not watch it. I just loved this show and it was always fun to watch. I could watch Full house about twenty times a day, I loved it so much.

What is Art? Many people will probably have many different opinions on this topic. Some people think its expressing different things and others might think its drawing or working hard on something you created. But to me art is making any sort of drawing and turning it into a master piece. It doesn’t even have to be turned into one. Every little piece of anything you make, draw, create is Art! Art has to be one of my favorite subjects to ever take at school. It’s so peaceful and learning on how to become an artist makes it so much better. Anything I ever did or created my mom has kept. Along with my brother and sister, she has kept every single artwork we have brong home. Art must be something very important to make because my mom acts like the world will end if she doesn’t get an artwork we make her. At high school the only two art classes I took were studio in art, and drawing and painting. Now that I’m thinking about it; I wish I would have taken more classes with art because it’s definitely the best part of the day.  Sitting there working on a piece of art, that you will someday turn into a masterpiece, is the best feeling ever. After I create any drawing I feel really proud to look at it, and say wow I did that. Especially learning from our art teachers here at school, or even our classmates helping each other out. If I could I would have took more art classes. So if you’re looking for classes to take, I encourage you to take more art classes! The one you should really take is drawing and painting in which you create so many exciting things and you even get to draw an animal of your choice. Art is amazing!

Blog #2

During any regular day, my daily routine is to get up at six o clock, brush my teeth, take a shower and head out on my bike.  I get dressed in my red suit that makes it easier to ride my bike in. After my daily bike ride I come back to my house around nine o clock and take another shower then get ready for work. I work at Macy’s. I am the big boss of the store. During my bike ride I take out all my anger. I think about all the bad things going on in my life and trying to turn them into good things.  Most of the time I bring my iPod touch so I can crank up the music and that also helps me let out my anger. Sometimes when I’m really mad and riding my bike I’ll take a longer route around my neighborhood. My neighborhood consists of a lot of traffic and one huge bridge. This bridge is everyone’s favorite to ride their bike, walk on, or even run because of all the entertainment around it. During the winter it gets crazy because the bridge is full of snow and the sidewalks are all full of snow, and slush. My favorite time to ride my bike is in the morning because it’s so clam, and quiet until around eight o clock and then the traffic starts up again. Sometimes when I cross over the bridge I see many parents with their kids walking and talking. I also sometime see many adults like me riding their bike or running with their dogs of all sorts. The best part of my day has to be riding my bike in the morning which starts my day off right! The second best thing has to be going to work happy because of the life I live.
